Court appearance - Two Males arrested in Dublin in relation to incident in Belfast on the 1/6/19

The two men arrested in relation to enquires being carried out by An Garda Siochana and the Police Service of Northern Ireland into the discovery of an under vehicle explosive device at Shandon Park Golf Club, Belfast, on 1st June 2019, have been charged in relation to the incident.

They are due to appear before a  Special sitting of the Special Criminal Court, Criminal Courts of Justice, tonight 21st August 2019 at 8pm.

Members from An Garda Síochána Special Detective Unit have this morning, Tuesday 20th August 2019 arrested two males in their 40s.  The two men are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at a Dublin Garda Station. 

The arrests are linked to enquiries being carried out by An Garda Síochána and the Police Service of Northern Ireland into the discovery of an under vehicle explosive device at Shandon Park Golf Club, Belfast on the 1st of June 2019.

An Garda Síochána is making no further comment at this time.
