A man in his late 20s arrested this morning Saturday 13th April 2019 in relation to a fatal shooting in Citywest Shopping Centre on the 18th September 2017, has been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public prosecutions.

A male in his late 20s was arrested this morning Saturday 13th April 2019 in relation to a fatal shooting in Citywest Shopping Centre on the 18th September 2017. He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences against the State Act 1939.
This brings the total number of arrests to date for this incident to four.

Gardaí are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at Fortunestown Lane (Citywest Shopping Centre), Tallaght, Dublin 24 at approximately 9.20pm this evening, Monday September 18th 2017. One man aged in his late 20’s, suffered gunshot wounds.
The injured man received medical assistance at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later. A post mortem is to be arranged.
The scene at Fortunestown Lane is preserved pending a Garda technical examination.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who may have been in the vicinity of Fortunestown Lane Tallaght to contact the incident room at Tallaght Garda Station on 01-666 6000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
