Drug Seizure and Arrest in West Dublin on the 16/4/19.

As part of an intelligence led operation, targeting organised criminality in the Dublin area, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped and searched a vehicle in West Dublin this afternoon, Tuesday 16th April, 2019.

Cannabis herb with an estimate street value of 1.5 million euro (subject to analysis) was seized and a 66 year old man was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Lucan Garda Station.
