Court Appearance - fatal stabbing Incident in Mulhuddart, Dublin on the 30/3/19

A male (40s) is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this afternoon Monday the 1st of April 2019 at 2pm charged in relation to a fatal stabbing that occurred on Saturday the 30th of March 2019 in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating the death of a man in his 20s following an incident at house in Mulhuddart.

Shortly after 6pm on 30th March 2019 Gardaí attended the scene of an incident in a house at Castlecurragh Heath, Mulhuddart where a man in his 20s was discovered with apparent stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigating Gardaí have since arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the incident. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Finglas Garda Station.

The body of deceased remains at the scene and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified. The assistance of the Garda Technical Bureau has been requested by investigators and an incident room has been established at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
