Gardaí at Dundalk are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred at a house on Rock Road, Blackrock, Co Louth at approximately 8pm last evening, Tuesday 23rd April 2019.
Two men armed with a knife, hammer and hatchet entered the home of an elderly couple (male & female both in their 80s) They proceeded to lock both persons into an upstairs bedroom before ransacking the house and took cash and a car. The elderly couple were taken to Hospital suffering from shock.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
