Appeal for Information Re: Cash in Transit Robbery Killiney Co Dublin Wednesday 19th September 2018

Gardaí at Dún Laoghaire Garda Station are appealing for information in relation to a Cash in Transit robbery which occurred at Killiney Shopping Centre, Co Dublin at approximately 10.36am yesterday morning, Wednesday September 19th 2018.

One male armed with what was described as a handgun threatened a security van driver and demanded cash, a second male waited in a car nearby (a silver Nissan Micra) They both made their getaway towards the M50. No shots were discharged and no injuries sustained. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Investigating Gardaí wish to make an appeal for information for any member of the public who was in the vicinity of Killiney Shopping Centre and the surrounding area between 9.30am and 11.30am, 19th September 2018, who may have information that can assist with this investigation.

An appeal is also made for members of the public & taxis who may have dash cam footage and who were in the area yesterday to contact them at Dun Laoghaire Garda station (01) 6665000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
