Fatal Asssault Mitchelstown Cork 2nd June 2018

Gardaí are investigating an assault incident that occurred at a public house in Mitchelstown Co.Cork on the 1st June 2018 at approximately 11pm. A man in his  30s was pronounced dead at the scene where his body remains. The State Pathologist's office has been informed and the scene is currently preserved for technical examination.

A man in his 20s has been arrested and is currently detained at Fermoy Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

An incident room has been set up at Fermoy Garda station and Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact Fermoy Garda Station on 025 82100.
