Drug seizure and arrests in Blanchardstown, Dublin on the 13/6/18.

On Wednesday 13th June, 2018 as part of ongoing investigations being conducted by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau supported by the Special Crime Task Force, targeting serious and organised criminal activity in the Dublin Region, a vehicle was intercepted on the Mill Road, Blanchardstown at approximately 7.30pm. 

A quantity of Cannabis Herb was recovered and two males aged 42 and 39 and a female aged 46 were arrested and are currently detained under Drug Trafficking legislation at Blanchardstown, Finglas and Lucan Garda Stations. The three prisoners remain in custody at this time. Follow up searches took place in Blanchardstown area resulting in the seizure of a further significant quantity of cannabis, at a premises in Fortlawn Drive.

During this operation controlled drugs with an estimated street value in excess of €560,000 has been seized (subject to analysis). 

Investigations are ongoing.
