Fatal assault and arrest in Portlaw, Waterford on the 13/12/18

Gardaí investigating an assault on a man in his 50s in Portlaw, Co. Waterford have arrested a man in his 20s.

Garda and ambulance services were call to a house in Portlaw at 2.45pm on 13th December 2018. A man in his 50s was taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford, where he was pronounced dead

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene by Gardaí and is detained at Tramore Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
