Firearms Seizure Coolock Dublin 5. Tuesday April 3rd 2018

Detectives attached to Coolock Garda Station in Dublin have this afternoon, Tuesday April 3rd 2018 recovered a sub machine gun and four (4) handguns. The firearms were located in a backpack which had been discarded a short time earlier.

A vehicle believed to be linked to this investigation has been seized by Gardaí. The firearms have been removed to the Garda Ballistics Section in Garda Headquaters for forensic examination.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
