Media Invitation- Passing Out Ceremony at Garda College, 22nd of September, 2017.
Members of the media are invited to attend the Passing Out Ceremony of Probationer Gardaí, Intake 171 at the Garda College, Templemore on Friday, 22nd of September, 2017.
Acting Garda Commissioner Dónall O’Cualáin and The Minister for Justice and Equality, Mr. Charles Flanagan, T.D will be in attendance.
Location: The Garda College, Templemore, Co. Tipperary
Date: 22nd of September, 2017 Time: 10.45am The current schedule for the day is as follows
10.45am: Media are invited to attend at the Garda College and will be escorted to the Media Room.
11.15am: Media opportunity with The Garda Executive 11.45am: The Minister for Justice and Equality will provide a doorstep interview. 12.00noon: Passing Out Ceremony will commence.
The Commissioner’s Prize Medal (awarded to the Student achieving the highest aggregate marks in academic subjects) and the Gary Sheehan Memorial Medal (This prize is awarded to the best all-round student) will also be awarded by The Acting Garda Commissioner.
1.00pm: The Acting Garda Commissioner and The Minister for Justice and Equality will both make an Address.
1.20pm: Photographs with The Minister for Justice and Equality, The Acting Commissioner and newly attested Probationer Gardaí. 2.00pm Conclusion.
181 probationary Gardaí are due to pass out on the 22nd of September, 2017.
