Fatal road traffic collision Conyngham Road, 12th March, 2017.

Gardaí in Kilmainham are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred between a motor car and a pedal cyclist this afternoon Sunday, 12th March, 2017.

A male, in his 30s, pedal cyclist was seriously injured on Conyngham Road, Dublin 8 at approximately 2.15p.m. He was taken to St. James Hospital where he later passed away and a post mortem will take place. The female driver, in her 40s, received minor injuries.

The scene of the collision on Conyngham Road is currently closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are at scene. Road diversions are in place.
