Gardaí in Nenagh, Co Tipperary are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the M7 motorway at Newport, Co. Tipperary on the 1st March 2017.
The collision occurred at approximately 7.30pm on the M7 southbound between junctions 27, Birdhill & 28, Castletroy. The male(50 yrs) driver of the collision was fatally injured in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene.
The M7 southbound between junctions 27 & 28 was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination but has since reopened.
