Drug Seizure worth and arrests on the 27/6/17

As part of ongoing investigations into organised crime groups operating in the West Dublin and Meath divisions, Gardaí have arrested 2 men and seized cocaine and cannabis with a street value of 1.2 million euros.

The drugs were seized when a vehicle was stopped and searched in the Slane area on the 24th June 2017. Following searches and further investigations 2 males in their 60s were arrested today 27th June and are currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 2 of Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. They can be detained for up to 7 days.  

Gardaí from Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau and Special Crime Task Force were involved in this operation.   An image of the drugs seized is available on request from pressoffice@garda.ie
