Fatal road traffic collision Rush Co Dublin on the 1st February 2017

Gardaí in Lusk, Co Dublin are investigating a fatal road traffic collision, that occurred at Rush, Co. Dublin on the 1st February 2017. The collision occurred on the Skerries Road, Rush near the intersection with St Catherine's Estate. The collision between two cars occurred at approximately 11.30pm. Gardaí and Emergency services attended the scene. The male(35 years) driver and sole occupant of one car was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to the mortuary at James Connolly Memorial Hospital. The three occupant(one female 24 years and two males 45 & 28 years) of the second  car were injured and taken to Beaumont and James Connolly Memorial hospitals and their conditions are described serious but non life threatening. The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
