Shooting Incident Stamullen Co Meath Thursday 3rd August 2017

Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in the driveway of a house at Mill Close, Stamullen Co Meath this evening (3/8/17) at approximately 7pm   

From initial investigations it appears that a lone male entered the driveway of the house at the above location and fired a number of shots injuring the male driver of a car.

The injured man has been removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. His condition is unknown at this stage.   A full investigation has commenced and an incident room has been established at Laytown Garda Station.  

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly those people who were in the area prior to the incident and immediately after the shooting and who may have information or who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious to contact them at Laytown Garda Station on 041 9827074 The Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
