Appeal for Information Re: Fatal Road Traffic Collision Shankill Co Dublin Friday 28th July 2017

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Shankill, Co. Dublin on Friday the 28th of July 2017.

At approximately 4.45pm a serious road traffic collision occurred on the Shanganagh Road, Shankill, Co Dublin, near the Hazelwood estate. A white van, travelling in the direction of Shankill Village was involved in a collision with a 6 year old boy. The driver of the van has been interviewed by Gardaí. The injured boy was taken to Temple Street Hospital and died on the 29th July 2017 as a result of injuries sustained in this collision.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to any person who has any information in relation to this collision or to any drivers who may be in possession of ‘Dash Cam’ and who were in the area at the time of this collision to contact the Gardaí at Shankill Garda Station on (01) 666 5900, the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
