Witness appeal - Serious Assault in Waterford on the 7/9/16

Gardaí in Waterford are investigating a serious assault that occurred on John Street, Waterford last night, Wednesday 7th September 2016 at approximately 11.30p.m.

Gardaí attended the scene and found a young man (18 years) lying on the path of John Street. He was removed to Waterford Regional Hospital, and has undergone surgery.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in particular anyone who may have been in John Street/John Bridge area of Waterford last night between 11pm and midnight to contact them on 051 - 305300, the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
