Serious Traffic Collision Co. Limerick 17th September 2016

Gardaí from Roxboro Road are at the scene of a serious traffic collision on the M20 motorway at Patrickswell, Co. Limerick.

At approximately 4.45pm a 3-year-old girl was seriously injured when the car she was a passenger in collided with a second car on the northbound carriageway of the M20 at Attyflynn near Patrickswell. She was taken by Ambulance to University Hospital Limerick.
Two further occupants of the car along with three from the second car were also removed to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The M20 is currently closed in both directions to facilitate Garda forensic collision investigators. Diversions are in place and traffic volumes remain heavy. (For traffic updates follow @gardatraffic)
