Investigation in to the activities of Dissident republican activity in Monaghan on the 21/9/16

As part of an on going investigation by Gardaí from Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan assisted by Gardaí from the Special Detective Unit, Harcourt Square into the activities into dissident republican activity a house and surrounding area was searched, Gardaí from the Regional Support Unit also assisted.

A male ( 53 years) was arrested and is being detained at Carrickmacross Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act 1939 as amended.
