Drug seizure and arrests at Lusk, Dublin on the 8/9/16

Gardaí have arrested two people and seized a firearm following the search of a vehicle on the M1 at Lusk, Co. Dublin.

As part of an on-going Garda operation targeting organised crime in Louth Garda Division, Gardaí stopped a car on the M1 last evening 8th September 2016 at 8.30pm.

During the course of a search of the car Gardaí recovered a 3.65 calibre handgun. The occupants of the car a man in his 50s and a woman in her 30s were arrested. Both are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Drogheda Garda Station.
