Cash seized (€179,000) in County Meath on the 7/9/16

As part of an investigation into serious organised crime in the Dublin Region and satellite Counties,

Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau including the Special Crime Task Force conducted an intelligence led Operation in County Meath on Wednesday 7th September 2016

During the operation Gardaí seized cash to the amount of €179,000. No arrests have been made in relation to this seizure. The Garda investigation is continuing and the seized cash is undergoing forensic testing.
 
One of the main aims of this operation is to detect and disrupt criminal networks engaged in money laundering arising from criminal activity.
