Witness appeal - hit and run collision in Kilbarrack, Dublin on the 26/9/16

Gardaí investigating a hit and run road traffic collision are appealing for witnesses.

The collision occurred at Mount Olive Park, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5 on the morning of Monday 26th September 2016 shortly before 11am. A male pedestrian, mid 20’s, was struck by a small grey coloured car. This car and its driver failed to remain at the scene.
 
The pedestrian received medical assistance from ambulance staff at the scene and was taken to Beaumont Hospital with minor injuries.
 
It is believed that a member of the public, possibly driving behind the offending vehicle at the time of the collision, may have stopped and given assistance to the injured man.
