Fatal road traffic collision at Tramore, Co. Waterford on the 5/10/16

Gardaí are investigating a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on Cliff Road, Newtown, Tramore, Co. Waterford at 8.20 p.m. last night Wednesday 5th October 2016.

One female, 16 years of age, suffered fatal injuries when the car she was travelling in as a passenger struck a wall. The female passenger was removed to University Hospital Waterford and passed away late last night.

A post mortem is to be arranged. Two other passengers, a female and male, both aged 17 years, suffered serious injuries and were also removed to University Hospital Waterford.
 
The male driver of the car, 17 years, received minor injuries and was taken to University Hospital  Waterford.  No other injuries were reported.
 
The road is currently closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
