Fatal road traffic collision at Navan, Meath on the 16/10/16

An eleven year old boy has died in hospital today, 23rd October 2016, following a traffic collision in Navan, Co.Meath on 16th October.

Gardaí at Navan Garda Station are investigating the collision which occurred at Abbeylands South, Navan, Sunday 16th October,  at approximately 9.50 a.m.

An 11 years old boy, a pedestrian was crossing the road when he was involved in a collision with a truck. The boy was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital and transferred to Temple Street Hospital where he died this afternoon.

The driver of the truck, a man in his mid 30s, was uninjured.
