Fatal road traffic collision Athea Co.Limerick 12th November 2016

A man in his 50s has been fatally injured in a road traffic collision in Limerick last evening, 12th November 2016. The man was the driver of a car which was involved in a collision with another car on the R524 at Coole West, Athea, Co. Limerick at about 9.30pm. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second car was uninjured. A Garda investigation is underway to establish the cause of the crash and the road at the scene remains closed to facilitate a forensic technical examination of the area.
