Witness Appeal serious injury collision Phoenix Park 2/05/16

Gardai in Cabra wish to appeal for witnesses to a serious injury collision that occurred in the Phoenix Park yesterday evening at approximately 8.40pm.

 

A male cyclist in his 50’s who was cycling on the cycle lane on the upper part of Chesterfield Ave (the city bound side between the Aras and Castleknock Gate), was seriously injured when he was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
 
 The male cyclist was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is described as being in a critical condition. The male pedestrian in his 30’s was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital with leg and back injuries.
