Stabbing Incident in Portlaoise, Laois on the 10/5/16

Gardaí are investigating an incident at Coote Street, Portloaise at 4am on 10th May, 2016.

A man in is 30s was discovered on the road with stab injuries to the abdomen. The man was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital and has since been transferred to St. Vincent's in Dublin. He remains in a critical condition.

The scene is preserved and a technical examination will be carried out in the area.
