Male charged - Serious assault on Dame Lane, Dublin 2 on the 2/5/16

Gardaí have charged a male juvenile in connection with the investigation into a serious assault that occurred at the junction of Dame Lane and Trinity Street, Dublin 2 on Monday 2nd May 2016.

He is due to appear before The Children Court, Smithfield this morning Friday 6th May 2016 at 10.30am.

An altercation occurred between 1.01am and 1.10am at the junction of Dame Lane and Trinity Street. A man received serious injuries to his face and was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment.

Investigating Gardaí in Pearse Street arrested a 16 year old male yesterday morning, Thursday 5th May 2016. He was detained at Pearse Street Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He remains in Garda custody.
 
Gardaí in Pearse Street are appealing for witnesses to the incident, in particular a number of people who approached the ambulance as the injured male was receiving treatment, or anyone with information to contact them on 01 6669000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Gardaí in Pearse Street investigating a serious assault on a male (21 years) at the junction of Dame Lane and Trinity Street on the 2nd May 2016 have arrested a 16 year old male.

He was arrested this morning the 5th May 2016 and is being detained at Pearse Street Garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

An altercation occurred between 1.01am and 1.10am at the junction of Dame Lane and Trinity Street. The injured male received serious injuries to his face and was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment.
