Incident at Lohunda Dale, Clonsilla, Dublin 15 Update 16th May 2016

A man in his early 40’s arrested in connection with this investigation (Press Release refers) was released from custody this morning 16/5/16.

A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí at Blanchardstown investigating an incident where a woman, aged 35 years was seriously injured at Lohunda Dale, Clonsilla Dublin 15 would like to renew their appeal for witnesses.  <_u13a_p _rdeditor_exists="1"><_o3a_p _rdeditor_exists="1">

The woman was taken to  Connolly  Hospital, Blanchardstown and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital. Her condition is described as critical. <_u13a_p _rdeditor_exists="1"><_o3a_p _rdeditor_exists="1">

Gardaí are investigating the possibility that this woman may be the victim of a hit and run road traffic collision. <_u13a_p _rdeditor_exists="1"><_o3a_p _rdeditor_exists="1">

Investigators have established that this woman had travelled from Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 in a taxi to the Lohunda area prior to her discovery and are seeking to identify the driver of this taxi, which is not better described. <_u13a_p _rdeditor_exists="1"><_o3a_p _rdeditor_exists="1">

Gardaí have carried out extensive house to house enquiries and would like to thank the public for their invaluable assistance. Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses in particular anyone who  may have been in the Lohunda Estate/Ongar Distributor Road area between 3.15am and 4.15am on Sunday morning the 8th May 2016 to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 6667000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station
