<_o3a_p _rdeditor_exists="1">As part of an intelligence led operation targeting the theft of vehicles in the Granard and Longford Districts a number of searches were carried out yesterday afternoon, 14th March, 2016. This was a multi agency operation which involved Officers from Department of Social Welfare and Officers from Revenue Custom and Excise.
During the course of the searches a total of 14 suspected stolen vehicles were seized, they consisted of 12 (twelve) Ford transit vans, 1 (one) Ford camper van and 1 (one) caravan. A large amount of documentary evidence was also seized.
No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
