False imprisonment at Gorey, Wexford on the 25/1/16 - Four arrested

Gardaí from Wexford have arrested two men, aged 25 and 33 years, and two women, 31 and 48 years, in connection with investigations into False Imprisonment, Blackmail and Criminal Damage incidents that occurred in Gorey, Co Wexford between 25th January and 3rd February 2016.

The four people were arrested in Gorey and Enniscorthy this morning, Tuesday, 1st March 2016 at approximately 8.30am. Three of those arrested, 2 men and 1 woman, are currently detained at Enniscorthy and Wexford Garda stations under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939-'98 as amended.

The fourth person, a woman aged 48 years, was detained at Gorey Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. She was released this evening from Garda custody without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
