Appeal for Witnesses Aggravated Burglary, Shillelagh, Co Wicklow 16th March 2016

Gardai in Balltinglass, Co Wicklow are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred at Ballynultagh, Shillelagh, Co Wicklow on the 16th March 2016.

 The incident occurred at approximately 9.10pm when three males entered a house at Ballynultagh. The owner of the house a male in his late 80's was on his own in the house at the time. He was assaulted a number of times by these males by what is believed to be an iron bar. The culprits threatened the elderly man and demanded cash. A sum of cash and jewellery was taken in the burglary.

The three raiders were described as being of average height, two of slim build and one of stocky build and all in their 20’s to 30’s and all had their faces covered for the entire incident.
The injured party is currently in hospital where is condition is described as stable.
