Aggravated burglary Kettle's Lane, Swords, County Dublin 29/07/16

Gardaí in Malahide, investigating an aggravated burglary, are appealing for witnesses. The aggravated burglary occurred at Kettle's Lane, Swords, County Dublin on Friday morning the 29th July 2016 between 3am and 4am.

Three men, in possession of weapons, entered a house, demanded money and assaulted the home owner, a man, aged in his early 80’s. The man was later taken to Beaumont Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
 
The three male offenders were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. At least two of these men spoke with Dublin accents. They fled the scene, direction and mode of transport unknown, with a small amount of cash.
 
The scene was preserved and technically examined. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
