Gardaí at Ashbourne investigating a burglary which occurred in the Ashbourne area yesterday afternoon 22/1/16 have arrested a 38 year old man.
A homeowner arrived at her home at approximately 4.30pm in the Robertstown area of Ashbourne , she observed an unknown male in her house and became concerned. She immediately fled and contacted Gardaí.
Gardaí from Ashbourne immediately responded to the call and following a search of the area arrested a 38 year old man in connection with this incident. He was conveyed to Ashbourne Garda Station where he is presently detained under the Provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A car which investigating Gardaí believe was used in the burglary was recovered along with property.
The 38 year old man arrested in connection with the burglary is expected to appear Navan District Court this morning (23/1/16).
