Drug Seizure (heroin €840,000) in Walkinstown, Dublin on the 4/02/16

On the afternoon of the 4th February 2016 as part of ongoing investigations targeting drug trafficking activities in the Dublin Region conducted by officers from the Crumlin District supported by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, a large quantity of suspected heroin with an estimated street value of €840,000 (pending analysis) was seized.

The drugs were seized during the course of searches that were conducted in the Walkinstown area of Dublin including a parked car.

This significant seizure of heroin resulted from a report from a member of the public that there was suspicious activity in the Limekiln Lane area of Dublin 12.
 

There were no arrests and investigations are ongoing.
