Garda from Dungarvan are investigating a two vehicle collision on the N72 between the junctions with the N25 and the R672 at approximately 10am this morning involving two cars.
As a result of the collision the 6 occupants of one of the cars were taken to Hospital by air (CUH and Waterford). The 2nd car went on fire and remains at the scene.
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses that may have travelled this stretch of road and can assist the gardai with their investigation to contact Dungarvan Garda Station on 058-48600 or any Garda Station.
This stretch of road remains closed as emergency services deal with the collision.
