Media Briefing - Shooting Incident in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 on the 5/12/16

Gardaí at Blanchardstown investigating a shooting incident in Mulhuddart last night (5/12/16) will hold a media briefing at Blanchardstown Garda Station this afternoon at 3.30pm.

Gardaí at Blanchardstown are investigating a shooting incident which occurred at Parlickstown Green, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 last night, Monday 5th December 2016.


Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene where a man, 38 years, suffered apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to Connolly Hospital where his condition is described as critical.  

It appears from initial investigations that a lone gunman fired a number of shots through a rear kitchen window of a house injuring the man. The gunman is believed to have left the scene in a car.  

No other injuries were reported. No arrests have been made.  

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
