Four arrested after €300k drugs seizure in Meath and Louth on the 20/12/16

Gardaí have seized drugs with an estimated street value of €300k during an operation led by the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau targeting serious criminal activity in counties Meath and Louth.

Gardaí seized approximately 13 kilos of cannabis herb when they intercepted and searched a number of vehicles near Ashbourne this afternoon. A follow up search was later carried out at an address in Drogheda where a further 1.5 kilos of cannabis herb was recovered along with a quantity of cocaine.  

Three men, aged in their 20s, 30s and 50s and a woman in her 50s have been arrested as part of the investigation. They are currently detained under drug trafficking legislation at Finglas and Drogheda Garda Stations and can be held for up to 7 days.
