The three men (mid 30s to early 50s) arrested on Thursday evening, 14th December, 2016 in relation to on going investigations into dissident republican activity in the Cork area and who were detained at Cobh and Midleton Garda Stations under Section 30 0f the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 have been charged.
The three men will appear before the Special Criminal Court, Criminal Courts of Justice at a special session at 10a.m. tomorrow morning Saturday 17th December, 2016.

As part of on-going investigations into dissident republican activity in the Cork area, Gardaí have arrested three men, aged in their mid 30's to early 50's, following the planned search of a premises at Chesnut Drive, Cluain Ard, Cobh, Co Cork yesterday evening, Thursday 14th December 2016 shortly before 8pm.
The three men are detained at Cobh and Midleton Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended. Two firearms and a quantity of ammunition were also discovered and seized by Gardaí during the operation. The scene has been preserved for technical examination
