A male aged in his teens has been arrested and two firearms recovered by Gardaí following an incident in Dublin this morning, 13th August 2016.
A search commenced at approximately 9.30am following reports of a disturbance at a house in Kilmainham and a youth with a firearm. The youth had left the scene on arrival of Gardaí. There were no reported injuries.
During search operation involving local Garda Units, Emergency Response Unit, Garda Dog Unit and Air Support Unit, two firearms (ballistic examination pending) were recovered. A male aged in his teens was later arrested in the Inchicore area.
He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Kevin Street Garda Station.
