Drugs, firearms and ammunition seized in Finglas, Dublin on the 17/8/16

As part of operation Thor, Gardaí targeting organised criminal activity in the Finglas area have seized heroin, cocaine and cannabis herb with an estimated value of €580,000, pending analysis.

A firearm and ammunition were also recovered.

Heroin, €400,000, cocaine, €100,000 and cannabis herb, €80,000 were seized by uniformed and plain clothes Gardaí attached to Finglas Garda Station during the planned search of a premises in the Barry area of Finglas this afternoon, Wednesday 17th August 2016 shortly after 4pm. A firearm and ammunition were also recovered.

One man, late 30's, was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
