Two men to appear before Special Criminal Court 15/4/16 at 5pm.
Two men arrested on Wednesday 13th April 2016 under the provisions of Section 30 –Offences Against the State Act 1939 (Previous Press Release Refers) are expected to appear before the Special Criminal Court, Criminal Courts Of Justice, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 at 5pm this evening (15/4/16)

As a result of an intelligence led operation conducted by Gardaí attached to Crime and Security section and the Special Detective Unit, a car was stopped by members of the Emergency Response Unit on the Naas Road, inbound just before the Long Mile Road junction, at approximately 7.30pm this evening.
This car is believed to contain explosives (subject to forensic examination). The Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) are currently at the scene examining it contents.
Two males (early 30's and early 40's) have been arrested are currently being detained at Ballyfermot and Ronanstown Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
No further information is available at this time.
The Naas road is closed in both direction and in both directions on the Long Mile Road at that intersection, motorist are advised to use alternative routes.
