Drug seizure and arrest in Finglas, Dublin on the 13/5/15

As a result of an intelligence led operation conducted today the 13th May 2015, members of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped and searched a car on the North Road in Finglas at approximately 4pm.

During the course of the search Gardai seized cannabis resin and cocaine (both subject to analysis), precursor chemicals and tablets. The street value of controlled drugs seized is estimated at €500,000. One male aged 44 years was arrested and is currently detained at Finglas Garda station pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended. Investigations are on going.

 
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks.
