Update - Discovery of body in Broadford, Kildare on the 18/3/15

The body of the man discovered in a field at Cornnmucklagh, Broadford, Co Kildare has been removed to the Mortuary at Naas General Hospital.

A full Post Mortem examination will take place tomorrow morning (Thursday 19th March 2015)

The scene is currently the subject of a Garda Technical Examination.

Gardaí at Leixlip are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man in a field at Cornamucklagh, Broadford. Co Kildare shortly before 3.30pm today (Wednesday 18th March 2015).

The body remains at the scene which is being preserved for a Garda Technical Examination.

The State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy has been notified and will shortly arrive at the scene.
