Fatal road traffic collision on the R628, Cork on the 18/3/15

Gardaí in Fermoy are investigating a road traffic collision in which a woman in her 30s was fatally inured. The collision occurred on the R628, Castlelyons to Conna road at approximately 8:30am on Wednesday 18th March 2015 when a car collided with an SUV.

The woman driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital. The driver of the SUV, a man in his late 30s, was injured in the collision and he was brought to Cork University Hospital where he is believed to be in a stable condition.
