Road reopened - Fatal road traffic collision at Glenmore, Kilkenny on the 12/6/15

Gardaí in Thomastown are investigating a single vehicle fatal traffic collision which occurred at Gaulstown, Glenmore, Co Kilkenny on the 12th June 2015.

The collision occurred at approximately 3am on the  N25 road between Waterford and New Ross (approx 7km outside Waterford  City). The 22-year-old male driver (sole occupant) was seriously injured when the car he was driving struck a ditch. He was taken to Waterford General Hospital where he was  pronounced dead a short time later.

 
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination and diversions are in place.
