Further update - Jeffrey Hannon Murder Investigation, Limerick, 2007

The two men arrested as part of the Jeffrey Hannon murder investigation were released last night (2/6/15) without charge.

A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí have arrested two males as part of an ongoing investigation into the murder of Jeffrey Hannon whose body was discovered in the O’Malley Park area of Limerick on the 22nd of November 2007.

Both males were arrested this morning (2/6/2015) in the Limerick area. A male aged in his 40s is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Roxboro Road Garda Station while a second male, aged in his late 20s, is detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Henry St. Garda Station.

20 people have been arrested to date as part of this investigation.

The investigation is ongoing a further updates will follow.
