Gardai in Bruff Co Limerick are investigating a fatal shooting incident which occurred at Mountfune, Murroe, Co Limerick this afternoon (Saturday June 20th 2015).
At approximately 3.10pm Gardaí received a call that a man had been shot at Mountfune, Murroe, Co Limerick.
A 51 year old man was seriously injured and was removed to University Hospital Limerick where he was pronounced dead shortly before 5pm.
The scene is currently preserved pending a Garda Technical Investigation. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified
