Drug seizure on the M6 at Kilbeggan, Westmeath on the 22/6/15

While Gardai from Mullingar were on uniform patrol on the M6 they stopped a car at approx 2.30pm on the 22nd June 2015.

During the course of the search of the car Gardai discovered one kilo of cocaine (subject to analysis) with a street value of approximately €70,000. The female (50 years) driver and sole occupant was arrested and taken to Mullingar Garda station where she is being detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
